“This personal memoir, produced with the guidance of Kinwood, is an attempt to tell younger generations, particularly our grandchildren, how our ancestors came to settle in Canada and how that immigrant time serves as our heritage and how it will serve generations after us.

It covers the migration of both paternal and maternal families from the Ukraine, their early days in Toronto and their involvement in struggles for social justice and their battles for religious, cultural and economic freedom beginning in 1911.

Much of the first part centers on the family’s leadership roles in democratic, progressive movements. The video goes on to track our personal and professional ups and downs, built on the heritage of the immigrant days. Please join us on Sunday February 23rd. ”
